QA Application testing…
Upon accessing the initial application URL, the app looks for a cookie and if not found, a Javascript prompt is displayed where a value has to be entered. EveryStep has already deleted the cookie upon startup and so the Javascript prompt is displayed, but because the prompt is on the beginning URL, the value entered is not recorded by EveryStep. Each time the script is run, the initial value has to be entered manually. Is there a way to either record this initial prompt and value entered or have EveryStep configured to not delete the cookie upon startup?
Hello Steve
Unfortunately, presetting a cookie is not possible in this case. EveryStep tool starts every monitoring “run” in clear environment without any cache and cookies.
I believe there should be a possibility to automate the process of entering specific value into javascript prompt. To know for sure this should be checked of course. Can you provide initial URL and steps sequence that should be implemented in your script (also any credentials, if needed)? We will check then with our development team what can be done in your case.
